How can I NOT LOVE where I work!?!
Wow... if I didn't already love where I worked, then Wednesday would have convinced me otherwise! It was my birthday earlier this week and I'm floored at how wonderful and generous the people I work with are. I've always known it, but this week cemented that for me even more. It started with a beautiful bunch of roses from Kerry, one of the other secretaries I work with...
I took the photo of these yesterday, so they aren't quite as fresh as they were when I got them, but trust me, they were absolutely gorgeous!
I organised for lunch out at a yummy Chinese/Malaysian restaurant which was very enjoyable. 16 people from the office came and dined with me, which was lovely. At the end of the lunch, Cam, my boss, came up to me and said that I shouldn't be paying for lunch on my birthday, so he shouted my lunch. Nice! When I got back to the office, I opened a gift that one of the girls I am closest to gave me:
I asked Ange if I had mentioned that I wanted a copy of this book and she said no... she obviously just knows me very well! I was so excited as I love books AND it's one that I wanted to get and will hopefully be reading in the future for bookclub.
Throughout the whole day, everyone was was being very nice acknowledging my birthday, so it was a really lovely day that I enjoyed immensely. And that's where I thought my birthday spoils would end. That's why I was so shocked and speechless when this arrived at reception yesterday for me:
This special package was from Cam and the Vals team (the Valuation department I work in). I seriously couldn't believe it, not only because my birthday had been a couple of days ago, but also the thoughtfulness and yes, I say it again, the generosity of everyone.
I am continually amazed at God's awesomeness in providing me with such a wonderful, fantastic job and people to work with. I find it hard to believe how appreciative, generous and supportive the people I work with are. This job is definitely, 100%, no doubt a huge answer to prayer and an amazing example of how God is looking after His children.
Thank you God!!!!
