One Journey Ends

On 5th December, Vaughn finally became a pastor of the Lutheran Church of Australia. It's hard to believe that we finally made it! When we arrived in Adelaide, it seemed like forever until Vaughn would finish his studies and become ordained... but now that time has come, it almost seems like yesterday when we arrived!

We had a wonderful celebration afterwards and it started to sink in that many of the people who had joined us to celebrate, we wouldn't be seeing again for quite awhile. What a journey for us!

Okay, so nothing quite as official as Vaughn's graduation, but the Sem Wives held their own graduation, where the 'graduating' wives received PhTs (Putting Hubby Through!). It was a beautiful night and we had lots of fun. The guests of honour (the final year Sem Wives) were literally VIP guests with our own Oscar to take home (Academy Awards Theme) and red carpet entrance with paparazzi to greet us!

Thanks to everyone who organised the beautiful evening. It will be a night I won't forget.

The Sem Wives Graduation night sort of marks the beginning of the end for us leaving this year. It's becoming a very sad time here. There is still so much to do, but only a matter of days to do it all. Vaughn is being ordained this weekend, our house is being packed next Wednesday and then the next day, being lifted/taken to beginning its journey to Cairns. That Friday, Vaughn, Amy and I fly to Melbourne, saying a final farewell to Adelaide.

Time to get a wriggle-on and catch up on my to-do list, that I'm behind on!
